Finale composition
To create the piece that would be distinguishable from others I decided to make it in the deferent way. Firstly, I only used two sounds such as tenor saxophone and gamelan. Secondly I aimed to create a varied and interesting piece that would explore the potential and varieties of sound. That was achieved by manipulating a basic and limited sound.
The most important issue while creating the piece was to maintain its perfect form. The piece begins with saxophone solo that is the first theme of the piece, followed by a rhythmical figure, which is gamelan. The form of the piece is A, B, A. In the section B, I used some effects like Ixi quarks pro, and twenty-century techniques as reveres. I also tried to introduce the original sound as gamelan and saxophone to help listener understand the origin of theme. Finally. A motif from the first theme appears and ends up the piece.
Personally I think the form is the biggest advantage of that work.
